Recently, Mandy has found a sense of empowerment through incorporating her limb difference into her costumes, cosplaying both familiar amputee characters and re-imagining old favorites. ![]() She has been sewing for 10 years, and began getting into the cosplay community six years ago. I hope this cosplay inspires others to see their differences as beauty, and to recognize that everyone is worthy of love and adventure!īio: Mandy Pursley lives in Oceanside, CA, with her real-life Prince Charming, Ryan Pursley. I “single-handedly” sewed Cinderella’s dress and Prince Charming’s uniform, and created a way for Cinderella to transform from peasant to princess in a snap! In true Cinderella fashion, the finishing touches were completed by my real-life fairy godfather, Gilbert Lozano, who created the beautiful glass arm. The information you gave is definitely helpful!Ĭomic-Con Masquerade Contest: Mandy Pursley, with Ryan PursleyĬostume Description: Growing up as an arm amputee, I dreamed of the day when fairy tales would include characters who looked like me too! I came up with the idea of Cinderella trading out her glass slippers for a glass arm, and set to work making this story come to life. Thank you so much for replying I just got my period two days ago and was absolutely relieved that I didn’t completely screw up my cycle. I hope that info is helpful and good on you for following up with a pregnancy test If your period had been late, then it would have been more likely that you did ovulate but later than you normally would have Because your period came so early, it’s most likely that you didn’t ovulate at all in that cycle. Levonorgestrel works by temporarily halting the development of the ovarian follicle that would have produced an ovum during ovulation, and it’s common for your period to be noticeable late or early. I know this is late, but I wrote my master’s thesis on the levonorgestrel-based emergency contraceptive pill (Plan B) and it sounds like the bleed you had after taking it was your period. And I’ve taken two pregnancy tests and both came out negative. I was supposed to have my period July 10 and it still hasn’t shown up. So my big question is if that was my period and it came around a week and a half early or if it was just Plan B cancelling the ovulation day. I was supposed to ovulate on the 27 but ended up bleeding for I believe three maybe four days (I only remember that because I bleed for more than 2 days and it scared me since the box said I shouldn’t.) So I took Plan B twice in the matter of three days, once June 21 and the second was June 23. That’s all I ask, I’m tired of sitting down on the floor exhausted, I’m tired of getting into my car after work and sobbing uncontrollably because of how bad everything is and others are doing the same. So just make sure to thank whoever it is and tell them that they are appreciated and that no matter how hard it is sometimes and what people say that they are doing an amazing job. We did not make these rules, but we enforce them in order to keep our jobs. So all I am saying is that when you go out, please thank whoever is helping you get seated, or serving you, or helping you out in the store, or letting you in the store and making sure that you are following the proper safety precautions. And now I get cussed out and screamed at over masks, over seating, about not being able to push tables together, about waits and so on. ![]() And this is not the only altercation, there have been many many more. Just the other day I had a woman screaming and harassing me for two hours and whatever staff would come up to her and I sobbed for those two hours and it was all because I didn’t give her the service she felt she deserved. I would work over 14 hours in one day and I do the job of at least 4 people. When we first opened up we were all working over 40 hours a week at a job that was supposed to be only part time, we were extremely understaffed and all horrendously tired. I have been screamed at, cussed out, harassed and further since all of these new rules have been put in place. I work as a hostess at one of the most popular restaurants in my town and it has been brutal. Thank customer sevice workers, not scream at them.
